Dundee Township Boys & Girls Clubs


A licensed real estate broker since 2003, Melissa “Missy” Turasky serves as executive vice president of the Capital Companies in the Chicago suburb of Elgin, IL. In 2017, Melissa Turasky lost her father who was an avid support this organization. It was her fathers wish to make a $10,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Club in nearby Dundee Township. At that time Melissa and her husband Richard matched her fathers donation and themselves made another $10,000 donation to the club.


One of the biggest Boys & Girls Clubs organizations in the state of Illinois, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township serves more than 2,000 members each year. The organization operates in five core program areas.

The first of these areas is character and leadership development, which helps young people develop self-esteem and decision-making skills while making a positive impact on their community. Through its education and career development programs, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township helps its members achieve academic proficiency and apply what they’ve learned in their daily lives and future careers. Its health and life skills program supports initiatives that include substance abuse prevention and diversity education, while its technology core provides essential computer skills and promotes online safety. Finally, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township supports a range of sports, fitness, and recreation programs.
